Two Destiny players just got enganged with a custom emote and in-game ring from Bungie

Bungie just did the most adorable thing for two of its biggest Destiny fans: an in-game proposal, complete with a custom love letter, ring, and emote. And before you ask, no, I don't think there's any way for the rest of us to get this stuff in-game. Yet, anyway.
First, a little set up: Adriel Wallick wanted a very special "dorky proposal" for her longtime partner Rami Ismail (who is one half of Nuclear Throne developer Vlambeer). And since they both play a ton of Destiny together, and are both well-known and well-liked people in the game development community, Bungie helped make it happen.
Here's how it went down.

Yes, it was definitely a special emote.

I hope Bungie's prepared for the flood of copycat proposal requests it's probably receiving right now. But hey, maybe some day Bungie will use these parts to make a formalized system for getting hitched - it wouldn't be the first MMO with a marriage system.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
