Doomsday won't be the only threat in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Earlier this month, the new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice came under fire for showing too much footage from the highly anticipated superhero film. In particular, the reveal of Doomsday was a plot point many would have preferred be kept under wraps, with one YouTube user even going as far as to 'fix' the trailer. However, according to production designer Patrick Tatopoulos, we need not be worried.
Speaking with French magazine Premiere, Tatopoulos stated that there's still a few surprises in store for fans come March 25th: "We are able to tell a story in a fresh way. Doomsday is an evolution essentially. Fans may be aware of the death of Superman story, but this is handled in such a new way."
In the interview, Tatopoulos also goes on to say that the "time frame of how things fall into place will surprise fans," and that "Doomsday isn’t just the final act" of the film. Thankfully, he didn't give any details as to who or what the 'larger threat' will be, but this is great news for fans who felt they had gotten a summarisation of the entire movie with the most recent trailer. Could this mean that Darkseid will be making an appearance after all? We'll hopefully find out in four months.
Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive in UK and US cinemas on March 25 2016. Check out our analysis of the latest trailer below...
