A nestling doll of literary pretension, The Words finds successful author Dennis Quaid entertaining an audience by reading from his novel about less-successful author Bradley Cooper, who plagiarised a novel written by Jeremy Irons, whom Cooper meets.
All three men slowly edge towards some deeper meaning that never materialises.
There is nothing about this film that justifies its existence.
