The warriors of Tekken 6
EXCLUSIVE SCREENS & BIOS - The original bruisers return for glory, bamboo
Would you believe it’s time for another King of Iron Fist tournament? It’s that special time where humans (young and old) tussle with bears for a shot at glory… or to take down a large corporation run by the devil. We can’t tell anymore what the Tekken series is about, but we have a damn good time playing.
Set for release this fall on the 360 and PS3 is Tekken 6, the biggest Tekken yet. With a rumored cast of 42 (yowza!) and newer features like item moves and completely redone animations, Tekken 6 could very well outclass console classics like Soulcalibur IV and Street Fighter IV. We’ve got some exclusive screens for y’all below and in-depth looks at some of the returning fighters. Behold!
Anna Williams
The sexy, sultry and voluptuous (curvy) Anna has been locked in an eternal battle with her equally sexy sis, Nina for some damn reason. After getting her ass kicked in the last tournament (presumably Tekken 5), Anna seeks revenge yet again on her sister. Apparently this means joining up with the G Corporation to get closer to her brethren for one more battle. Along the way, we hope Ms. Williams will learn a little something about herself. And then she’ll find her sister and they’ll hug. And we’ll slowly clap along with the rest of the cast of Tekken 6. That would be a good ending.
Asuka Kazama
The Tekken series has always been known as a fashion trendsetter and part 6 is no different. Cute Kazama (we changed her name) is bringing back jean shorts, motorcycle gloves and rollerblade elbow protectors. Even though her thighs are left unprotected, her shin guards will protect portions of her legs (as any soccer player can attest). Oh yeah, Cute joined this year’s tournament to defeat close relative Jin Kazama, who’s apparently behind a global war. Details, details…

Seems like everyone’s out to destroy Jin Kazama. This old guy tried once before and met with disastrous results, but any dummy could’ve told you why (hint: he’s really old). We bet Wang’s one of those guys that drinks tea slowly and says things like “You’re only as old as you feel” and “It’s not the years, it’s the mileage.” And then everyone politely laughs because he’s really just super old and has no way of destroying the Kazama bloodline. Keep reaching for the stars!
Panda
Panda is Ling Xiaoyu’s bodyguard. Panda is also a bear. The cuddliest of fighters, Panda returns to the Iron Fist tournament to protect Xiaoyu… and eat leaves. We bet every battle goes like this: someone enters the battle dome (where they fight) and in walks a panda bear. That person starts laughing, because c’mon, pandas are super cute. Panda just mauls them, but not because Panda was laughed at. It’s because Panda’s a bear.
Tekken 8 boss gives broken Tifa stans hope after Clive got to join the fighter instead: "It's not like we're only limited to one character from Final Fantasy"
Final Fantasy 7 fans have been begging for Tifa to be added to Tekken 8, so they're taking the news of FF16 star Clive being added as well as you'd expect: "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN HER"
