WWE SmackDown! vs RAW 2009 - 2008
At first glance, wrestlers appear a tad shinier in this fall’s upcoming SmackDown. Also, it looks like some of the vibrant colors have been toned down. The dumb looks have been wiped from every wrestler’s face, as they now look startlingly more like the real thing. In motion, the game runs faster and wrestlers sell injuries surprisingly better than before. And because the new tag team system demonstrates how momentum changes quickly, freshly-tagged wrestlers clear the ring full of energy and fist-pumping. Just like TV, the wrestler’s excitement gets the player excited. Let’s hope that the more we see, the more we like.
