An EA double-whammy sees the publishing giant take first and second spot this week, with The Sims 2 Nightlife expansion pack rolling straight in at number one and PSP title Burnout Legends nipping in just behind it.

The remaining three chart newcomers this week also appear in the top 10, with Atari's critically acclaimed Fahrenheit earning a well-deserved place at 3, while Total Overdose and Madden NFL 06 debut at numbers 7 and 9 respectively.

With the exception of Coded Arms, which climbs to 15, PSP titles continue to plummet - the only games for the handheld that maintain top 20 status being Virtua Tennis World Tour at 19 and Ridge Racer at 20, with the highest placed PSP-only title after that being Everbody's Golf at 29.

A meagre offering of notable new releases this week are spread over the various platforms. PS2 and Xbox gamers are treated to Criterion's Burnout Revenge, while Gamecube owners get to body slam with WWE Day of Reckoning 2. The excellent Meteos for DS is also released and PC RTS fans can get busy with the Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War expansion pack, Winter Assault.
