The Rock meets Witch Mountain
Dwayne Johnson joins the Disney adventure remake
Having dipped his toe into the wide world of Disney comedy for the upcoming The Game Plan, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is planning to stick with the Mouse for his next project.
He’s in final negotiations to snag a role in the company’s re-imagining (shudder now) of its 1975 adventure classic Escape To Witch Mountain. The plot finds a brother and sister forced to go on the run from some evil types who want to exploit their magical abilities.
Johnson will be playing a Las Vegas cab driver that picks up the pair and ends up – it says here – on the ride of his life. With Matt Lopez responsible for the latest script draft and Game Plan helmer Andy Fickman calling the shots, it should all start shooting next March.
