We hunt down the world's most extreme gamers
Extreme shenanigans
“Ahh, what a lovely baby! What’s her name?” “YujiNaka.” “Oh, that’s… nice.” For one poor child this is the sad truth. An extreme Sega fan in the US has named her new daughter after Sonic designer Yuji Naka and has the birth certificate to prove it.
Celebrities have set a dangerous precedent for strange names; Robin Williams got in there early, naming his daughter Zelda in 1989. Now extreme gamers will think nothing of slapping the name of nubile EverQuest character Firiona Vie on a birth certificate.

Long-term damage?
Sadly it is the child that suffers in these cases. A satisfied gamer may grin smugly as the ink dries on the birth certificate but what about the poor kid. At least those fools who’ve changed their name by deed poll to Link, Sonic or Turok only have themselves to blame.
