The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has just taken its first price cut
Still need to pre-order? Here's how you can save 25% on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom might be releasing in a month, but that's not stopping Currys offering 25% off the £59.99 RRP. Getting your name down on an early order can net you the massively anticipated sequel for just £44.99 right now, when you use promo code ZELDA25 at checkout.
That's an astonishing discount, and not just because we're still weeks away from launch. Big Nintendo titles like this just don't see those kinds of savings. We had to wait years for a sale on Breath of the Wild, and we've only started seeing Mario titles dropping their prices in the last year or so. If you haven't already netted yourself a Tears of the Kingdom pre-order, then, now's the time to jump.
There's no need to worry about missing that day one drop. Currys is advertising release day delivery on this item which means you'll be able to dive into the new adventure right on May 12. If you need to catch up (and we'd recommend getting a move on if so), you'll also find Breath of the Wild available for the same £44.99 price at Currys right now - that's the best price we've found on the internet today.
We don't know how long this pre-order deal will last for, but Currys has placed a deadline of Tuesday on its Breath of the Wild offer so we wouldn't hang around too long. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is slated to be one of the new games of 2023, so any saving this early on is going to be gold dust.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom | £59.99 £44.99 at Currys
Save £15 - While it may be releasing on May 12, Currys is already offering a 25% discount on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom right now. That means you can scoop up the heavily anticipated sequel for just £44.99, £15 off the £59.99 RRP. Be sure to use promo code ZELDA25 at checkout for the full savings.
Should you pre-order The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
To pre-order or not to pre-order. We've all been burned by picking up our favorite games on day one only to spot a hefty discount just a few weeks later. However, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom may just be one of the most rock solid cases for pre-ordering in recent memory. We don't foresee too many discounts following this momentous release day. While this week's offer from Currys is a rare deal, and could suggest a more flexible pricing to come, we wouldn't bank on a quick saving straight after launch.
There aren't any pre-order bonuses included with the game itself, though, so if you can wait a little after launch and want to get the best price possible it might be worth holding off until Black Friday. These larger sales events are usually where we see Nintendo Switch deals in their prime, including cheap Nintendo Switch games.
We're also showing you where to get your hands on The Legend of Zelda Nintendo Switch OLED pre-orders, and rounding up the best Nintendo Switch accessories to help you make the most of your new console. We're also guiding you through all The Legend of Zelda merch available now.
