The identity of dead Robin in Batman v Superman revealed on Warner Bros. tour

This article includes spoilers concerning Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Way before Batman v Superman hit the big screen, trailers clued us into a source of anguish for Bruce Wayne: the death of Robin. It's not a spoiler - the poor guy's suit is shown in all its defaced glory, spray-painted by the Joker who presumably kills Batman's sidekick prior to the events of the movie. Speculation on which Robin was murdered flooded the web. Well, now we know exactly who that person is, thanks to a loose-lipped Warner Bros. studio tour guide.

If you don't want to know which Robin was killed, then click away now!

“This was one of the big things from Batman v Superman, right across this way. The Jason Todd Robin suit,” the tour guide tells his group in a video posted on the studio tour’s Facebook page. “Spray painted on the front ‘Ha ha! The joke’s on you Batman.’ Those of you that know the storyline, know what happened to this Robin.”

Has this fact been 100% confirmed by Warner Bros? Or by Zack Snyder? Not yet. The fact that the video has since been yanked from Facebook is rather telling though.

Even before this clip surfaced, it's not hard to make the connection between the Jason Todd storyline and the events of Batman v Superman. The comic series "A Death in the Family" has Todd killed by the Joker, and in the movie Bruce Wayne's brooding demeanor is at its broodiest when he's gazing upon his former sidekick's suit. It's not a straight adaptation, for sure, but the evidence is there.

Now that we know it was Todd under the suit, rumors concerning Ben Affleck's Batman solo movie are given a bit more weight. Early reports make reference to the "Under the Hood" comic storyline, where Jason Todd is resurrected and hits the streets of Gotham as a violent antihero.
