The Forza 2 showroom

We got the latest go faster shots of Forza Motorsport 2, Microsoft's big fall release for Xbox 360.

The sequel is built from scratch rather than being a scrubbed up version of the original Xbox game and will run at 60 FPS, as will the reflection mapping. The cutting-edge visuals will be used to show the fully licensed vehicles in the best light possible, and there are more than 300 of them from over 50 of the world's leading manufacturers. In the screen below and on the Images tab above you can see models from Lamborghini, Mitsubishi, Nissan and more.

Customization of your vehicle will, of course, play a huge part but it will go way beyond getting a new paint job. New engines can be fitted, advance suspension settings can be implemented, superchargers can be bolted on and there's a wide selection of rims to choose from.

Forza 2 will also be playable with Microsoft's new wireless 360 steering wheel to make the racing experience just that little bit more authentic.
