The DualSense Edge's biggest rival is on sale for Cyber Monday
You don't have long to make the most of this Cyber Monday PS5 deal
Cyber Monday PS5 deals are raging on, but if you're in the UK, the clock's ticking on your chance to get some of the biggest games and best hardware of the year on the cheap. While some of PlayStation's homemade hardware has been missing from this year's bargain aisles, arguably the best PS5 controller of the year is currently discounted.
The Victrix Pro BFG is one of the best PS5 controllers money can buy. It has a modular design, four back buttons, and amazing Esports attachments. Right now it's only £138.99 at Amazon, down from its RRP of £179.99 which is already a super reasonable price to pay for a fully licensed PS5 gamepad. £138 brings it over £50 cheaper than a DualSense Edge, which sits at £210 most of the time.
Annoyingly, this Cyber Monday PS5 deal hasn't made its way over to the US, but arguably, you could still make the case for its $179.99 price tag still being a deal when you weigh up the contest of the Victrix Pro BFG vs the DualSense Edge.
I've been reviewing, and looking out for deals on PS5 controllers all year, and I can't remember seeing the BFG come down in price below this - except maybe for one of Amazon's Prime Day events. Either way, this isn't a discount to expect often. This is by far the best controller out there for people who play a lot of Call of Duty or other first-person shooters - and it's my gamepad of choice in most online multiplayer games.
Victrix Pro BFG | £179.99 £138.99 at Amazon
Save £41 - This is undoubtedly one of the controllers of the year, and it's fully compatible with PS5, PS4, and PC. This £179.99 price tag makes it a better value option than the DualSense Edge anyway, but with this £41 saving, you're getting it so much cheaper than the competition.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a pro controller for PS5 or PC
✅ You want four back buttons
✅ Swapping between symmetrical and offset thumbsticks sounds appealing
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want haptic feedback and trigger resistance

Should you buy the Victrix Pro BFG?
One of my favourite things about the Victrix Pro BFG is how malleable it is depending on what game you're playing. Granted, for the most part, I keep it configured to the shape and attachments I like best, but if I'm ever gracing the stages of Tekken 7, I absolutely slap down the fightpad attachment that essentially turns the BFG into a mini arcade stick.
Similarly, if I feel like I want a more "PlayStation-y" experience, I flip the face button attachments around so that the thumbsticks aren't asymmetrical. For that reason, this controller caters to everyone - we don't need to argue about which is better when we can have both.
Since I reviewed the Victrix Pro BFG at the beginning of the year, it's been the controller to beat on PS5 and PC. It's super versatile, has some of the best back buttons I've ever come across on a controller, and has a lower price tag than everything else that's released in its weight class.

One of my earliest memories is playing SuperMario64 and wondering why the controller I held had three grips, but I only had two hands. Ever since I've been in love with video games and their technology. After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Journalism, I contributed to the Scottish Games Network and completed an Editorial Internship at Expert Reviews. Over the last decade, I’ve been managing my own YouTube channel about my love of games too.
