The Amazing Spider-Man nets a new teaser poster and logo
Intriguing one-sheet for the reboot
The Amazing Spider-Man has been gifted a new teaser poster, which shows off its official logo.
We've had a couple of neat images of of Andrew Garfield as the rebooted webslinger, but this is the first official promo material that's been released for the movie (from Shockya via FirstShowing).
The logo does the job well enough, but it's not quite up there with the iconic lettering of Sam Raimi's original trilogy.
While the logo is the focal point of the teaser poster, the compelling background will no doubt be put under microscopic scrutiny by rabid fanboys.
It looks like it could be Spidey's tough new suit, but there's the merest hint of washed out red and blue in the dark colour palette.
There also could be a scaly echo of Rhys Ifans' Lizard in the texture, although maybe that's just overthinking things a bit.
Whatever that backdrop is, it looks like it's taken some damage…
You can see the logo above, and here's that teaser poster:
One thing's for certain, it's made us even more keen to see a trailer.
The Amazing Spider-Man will be released 4 July 2012.
