Hayao Miyazaki, the founding father of Studio Ghibli. Miyazaki has been responsible for some of the most fantastically imaginative titles through the last 28 years. Japan’s answer to Walt Disney, Miyazaki took a shock decision to move into retirement after the release of Princess Mononoke . Luckily Hayao returned with the Oscar-winning, Japanaese box office giant, Spirited Away .

The latest film from Studio Ghilbli, From Up On Poppy Hill , arrives in UK cinemas on 2 August. Featuring the voice talent of Gillian Anderson, Christina Hendricks, Jamie Lee Curtis, Anton Yelchin and Aubrey Plaza and is directed by Goro Miyazaki.
