A limited edition Halo 3Master Chief helmet placed on eBayhas sold for $1009.69 (£505). That's a lot of money - with that amount of moolah you could buy a PS3, a copy of Resistance: Fall of Man and still have a few pennies left over.
Still, if you're a dedicated Halo fanatic - as we imagine winning bidder 'leta2308' must be - then we guess a Master Chief helmet would be the ultimate object of desire. Even then, though, we'd still be tempted to just sit tight and wait for the Halo 3 Legendary Edition that's due to be released in September, which comes complete with an absolute bounty of goodies, including a Spartan helmet case, and will sell for the much more reasonable price of around $130 in the US and £70 in the UK.
