TGS 2011: Konami announces new Suikoden sequel for PSP, anime teaser released
Anime trailer offers first look at revived franchise
Fans of Konami's Suikoden RPG series, long on life-support with low hope for recovery, will be glad to hear the company's announced a new spin-off for the PSP. Genso Suikoden: Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki (which translates roughly as “The Centennial Tapestry”) doesn't have any release details yet, but there's already a teaser thick with animated action.
Suikoden has been radio silent since 2009's well-received DS spinoff, Suikoden Tierkreis. PSP players haven't had a taste of the series since Konami remade the first two titles in the series for the handheld – and that collection never made it out of Japan. No for a localized version of Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki have emerged yet, but the title already has a teaser website and Japanese-only Twitter feed.
