Test Drive Unlimited 2

Hey there, Test Drive. Where ya been? Gearing up for Test Drive Unlimited 2, that’s where! The beloved racing franchise hasn’t been seen since outperforming Need For Speed back in ’06, but those of you who dove into the last TDU are undoubtedly ready for M.O.O.R.

The above acronym stands Massively Open Online Racing, Test Drive Unlimited 2’s term for describing the persistent world that’ll offer various challenges online and off. TDU2 is fleshing out the last game by adopting an “always live” philosophy that’ll integrate courses, driver progress and vehicle customization found in the single player narrative, with the real-life contestants you’ll meet online.

You won’t need an internet connection to play, but doing so will allow you to share custom creations in an all new tropical island of real-time gameplay - complete with its own weather and day/night cycle - populated by several thousand likeminded wheelmen.

Couple that with the ability to acquire property, all new gamplay modes and a giant assortment of luxury licensed cars to drool over (and destroy,) Test Drive Unlimited 2 looks to be offering something of uniquely epic proportions. The game is headed to 360 and PS3 sometime in the near future.
