With Tekken 8 crossplay enabled you're widening the pool of potential opponents to fight against, so instead of just being restricted to facing off against those on the same platform you can dust off with players across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. You can also add friends in Tekken 8 across all platforms, to make organizing online fights with your pals a lot easier to manage.

However, while this sort of cross-platform play can be very useful to expand the scope of a game, not all players are keen to have it switched on, especially if they're experiencing performance issues or even cheating from those on other systems. With that in mind, here's what you need to know about crossplay in Tekken 8, how to turn it off or on, and how to add Tekken 8 Friends to your list.

Does Tekken 8 have crossplay?

When asked about Tekken 8 crossplay back in April 2023, legendary Game Director Katsuhiro Harada responded saying "Crossplay? Of course I will." He then went on to explain that he previously proposed crossplay between PS4 and Xbox One when those consoles launched, but platform issues at the time meant that this was not possible. However, past issues aside, this gave us confirmation that crossplay in Tekken 8 is available.
