TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan comes out of its shell with a May 24 release date

The Platinum-developed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, will kick butt and eat pizza on May 24, according to a new trailer. A release date isn't the only bit worth getting excited for however, as the trailer also shows our heroes in a half-shell taking on classic bad guys like Bebop, Rocksteady, and Shredder, as well as more obscure villains like Armaggon, the shark-cyborg.

And yes, the combat looks as smooth and satisfying as you'd want a Platinum game to look:

The game's May 24 release date puts it just a week ahead of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the sequel to 2014's live-action movie adaptation of the reptilian heroes' adventures. And if that's somehow not enough for you, a special episode of the Nickelodeon cartoon airing on March 27 will feature the '80s animated version of the brothers being transported across dimensions, where they'll meet up with their current-day counterparts.

Y'know, for a group of ninjas, we're about to see a lot of these guys.
