Teaser arrives for X-Men: Days of Future Past - The Rogue Cut
An international teaser trailer has appeared online for The Rogue Cut of X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The newly-reedited version of Bryan Singer’s comic book movie features a whopping 17 minutes of material snipped from the theatrical version. As the name suggests, the majority of that footage revolves around Anna Paquin’s Rogue, who was reduced to a cameo in the film that most fans saw in cinemas.
Luckily, Singer and producer Simon Kinberg realised the entire subplot featuring the Southern mutant was worthy of its own re-release. This new cut spirals off during the ‘future’ section, and involves a prison break sequence where Rogue is set free by her fellow mutants to aid a wounded Kitty Pryde. Check out the teaser below:
There’s a lot of action there from those mutants who did feature in the finished movie, but a nice set-up from Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine as he utters her name. The final lingering shot a pleasing taster of what’s to come from this new version - more Rogue.
The Rogue Cut arrives on Blu-ray and DVD in the UK on July 13, and the US on July 14.
