Tales of Xillia out August 6 in U.S., August 9 in Europe
Collector's edition includes soundtrack, artbook, figurine
Tales of Xillia will release on August 6 in North America and August 9 in Europe. Namco Bandai confirmed the dates for the latest in its fan-favorite RPG franchise to us at a media event earlier this month.
Xillia released in Japan in 2011, bringing a new twist to the series as players opt for either medical student Jude Mathis or elemental master Milla Maxwell at the beginning of the story. Check out our preview to learn more about how the choice of either character will affect the campaign, and how Xillia's link system shakes up the series' signature action combat.
The PlayStation 3 exclusive is available for pre-order now, in both a regular $60 version and $100 collector's edition with artbook, soundtrack, and Milla figurine.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
