Syndicate hands-on video with Executive Producer commentary
Shoot the body, hack the mind, get paid
Syndicate is a rethinking of an old (1993) strategy game, updated to a four-player focused co-op first-person shooter in a way similar to Left 4 Dead. Instead of fighting zombies, however, you fight against rival corporations in a future where everyone has a chip implanted in their brains. If ever there was an argument against brain chips, Syndicate is it: with access to your own military-grade chip, you can hack the brains of chumps and make them commit suicide, amongst other horrible fates inherent to having a computer inside your body.
We went down to Electronic Arts' Redwood Shores office to play a bit more of Syndicate, with the added bonus of having Executive Producer Jeff Gamon give real-time commentary while we kicked the future's ass. Take a look:
We'll be posting more videos of our play session soon, with our own commentary so you can get the gamer's perspective along with the developer's.
