Surfing games have never been done quite right, but Ubisoft Montreal (Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory) will be taking another stab at it this summer with Surf%26rsquo;s Up, based on Sony Picture%26rsquo;s upcoming CG surfing flick of the same name. As Cody Maverick, an up-and-coming surfer entering his first pro competition, you%26rsquo;ll compete against a large cast of wacky characters, all voiced by their real life/movie counterparts %26ndash; Jeff Bridges, Zooey Deschanel, Shia LaBeouf, etc. (or The Dude, Trillian and %26ldquo;that kid from Transformers %26rdquo; for you movie nerds). The film looks relatively charming, so hopefully the game won%26rsquo;t fall too squarely into the %26ldquo;sub-par licensed game%26rdquo; trap.
