Supreme Commander back in Forged Alliance
New single-player campaign, new faction, new units and more in this RTS "sequel" from Gas Powered Games
Gas Powered Games has moved quickly to follow up Supreme Commander's release in February with Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, which is due this November.
Forged Alliance is more expansion rather than full-blown sequel. THQ explains it's a standalone title that's compatible with the original RTS "enabling all-new strategic options."
The game follows the story of the original title in the aftermath of the Infinite War, and features a new single-player campaign, a new faction and over 100 new units that give "players access to cutting-edge strategic options, including fully realized navies, orbital weaponry and advanced counter intelligence technologies."
Plus, plenty of multiplayer goodness is promised.
"Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance is not only the continuation of the epic story that is unfolding inside the game's universe, it is the continuation of our goal to move the bar for RTS gaming even higher than ever," said Chris Taylor, CEO of Gas Powered Games. "Forged Alliance offers over 100 new units, more maps and an entirely new faction... we are stuffing this game with all kinds of new features!"
We hope to have first screenshots soon.
