Super-Bikes Riding Challenge
The name doesn't lie - this is hardcore
There are 41 licensed bikes to coax around 28 tracks, with the usual dry/rainy weather conditions. Career mode sees you starting off with slow bikes then working your way up to the Superbikes over several seasons. We were given access to all the bikes and we have to say, the later models' power is scary.
Italian developer Milestone has had a little help along the way from workers at Ducati, too. Based just down the road from Milestone's office, the Ducati employees have been able to play the game for fun (they apparently love it), while giving the team feedback on the latest build.
Above: Shifting weight around is vital. Sit up to brake harder, lean forward to stop wheelies
Currently at around 90% finished, the game is playing very well, although the difficulty level does need some tweaking. The graphics are solid and very smooth and there were only a few instances where the bikes' behaviour didn't look entirely realistic.
We'll be bringing you more before the game's mid-September release, just as soon as we've picked the gravel from our raw elbows... What do you mean, 'this might sting a bit'?
