Undead Labs will release a PC version of Xbox Live Arcade hit State of Decay later this year. The PC version of the open-world zombie apocalypse game will feature enhanced graphics, higher resolutions and improved frame rate, but “will not have different content or features”, the studio said in a post on its forums.
"What the PC version also won't have are modding tools (for time/testing reasons), but we have no objection to mods or modders, and we look forward to seeing what our PC players come up with," it added. Undead labs will take part in Steam's Early Access program, meaning a controller-only PC version will be made available prior to the final release for the purposes of gathering user feedback. The final release will include mouse and keyboard support.
State of Decay became the second fastest selling game in Xbox Live history following its June 5 release. Less than two weeks after launching, Microsoft also said State of Decay had surpassed half a million sales, making it the "fastest selling original game ever" on the digital marketplace.
