Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws has just been announced, and it's already won me over with its adorable lil guy.
As revealed on June 11 at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023, Ubisoft's highly anticipated game set in a galaxy far, far, away, Star Wars Outlaws is due in 2024. This is extremely exciting for many reasons, however, the main reason I'm here is for the fluffy axolotl-looking guy called Nix - which you can see for yourself in the trailer below.
If you want to see more of Nix, and his human companion Kay Vess, the good news is that we're getting more Star Wars Outlaws footage tomorrow (June 12) during Ubisoft Foward 2023.
We're so glad to see that this tradition has continued well beyond Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and its weird little guys. If you've played Respawn's Star Wars sequel, you'll already be very familiar with the likes of Turgle, Boglings, Skoova, and many more of the creatures Cal and BD-1 encounter along their journey.
The Star Wars film series has also never shied away from a weird little guy or two either, just think of Babu Frik, Grogu, Watto, plus many more - so we're very happy to see more weird little guys making their way into the series.
Little guys aside, the Xbox Games Showcase has only just started but we've already had a number of exciting reveals, including a new Fable trailer, Obsidian's new RPG Avowed, Payday 3 release date, confirmation of that Persona 3 remake, the Sea of Thieves x Monkey Island crossover we never knew we needed, and much more.
