Now that you’ve landed on Tanalorr, rest at the Haven’s Edge Meditation Point. After that, go straight through the cavern ahead with Merrin. Keep going and you’ll eventually reach the Verdant Gardens where you’ll get a good view of a tall mountain.

From here, go left and follow the path. This leads to the top of a cliff, but you can safely get down by heading to the end and going down the hill into the river area below.

Next, head down the narrowing path between the rock formations and go through the squeeze gap. You’ll spot Bode’s ship and the entrance to a temple building on the other side. Go inside the temple and follow the path to the Temple Atrium.

Go up the steps leading to the pyramind-like structure and rest at the Temple Atrium Meditation Point. Carry on and you’ll spot Kata sitting on the structure – approach her to go into a cutscene. Cal, Merrin, and Kata head down the dark tunnel into the vast Audience Chamber and meet Bode. He’s not coming quietly so it’s time for a fight to end it all.

Bode is the most difficult boss fight in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, so you’ll likely be in for a real challenge here. This fight is a real test of all the combat skills you’ve learned so far. Dodging, dashing, and parrying are all essential to beat this fight, since Bode can attack incredibly quickly with Lightsaber attacks, blaster fire, and Force abilities. These are also all mixed in with some brutal unblockable attacks that can be tricky to dodge.

I personally used the Crossguard Stance for most of my attempts to defeat Bode as I liked the powerful hits and high defense, which made parrying and breaking Bode’s guard quite easy. I wouldn’t recommend the Blaster Stance, but any other stance should be perfectly fine, so long as you make the most of all the skills available.

To start off the Bode boss fight, you’ll have Merrin’s help, although not for long – my advice is to get her to trap Bode as early as possible so that you can get some easy hits in. Merrin will then teleport out of the arena after getting grabbed by Bode, and you no longer be able to use her trapping ability for the rest of the fight. This is a scripted moment and can’t be stopped, but Merrin will occasionally teleport in and out to hit Bode when he least expects it.

Since Bode attacks pretty aggressively, your main focus for the fight should be to parry his Lightsaber combos to break his guard, allowing you to get a couple of hits in. You should also deflect his blaster fire back at him for easy damage, and Force Push grenades back at him if possible. It’s importan you take as little damage as possible during this first phase of the fight as it gets much harder later, so you’ll need all the Stims you can get.

Once you take off about a quarter of Bode’s health, you’ll grapple him with help from Merrin and will crash down to a lower area in a scripted moment. In this second phase, Bode will now throw out his Lightsaber so that it slowly homes in on you while he uses his blaster and grenades. The best thing to do is simply keep moving to avoid the Lightsaber and focus on deflecting blaster shots and Force Pushing grenades back.

Like Darth Vader, Bode also uses a completely unblockable Force Pull and Push to bring Cal closer or keep him away, although they deal no damage. However, the attack that you really want to watch out for is his unblockable grab – Bode will put away his weapons and will charge at Cal, attaching a grenade to Cal’s chest if he successfully grapples. This attack hits hard and is incredibly annoying due to its finnicky timing – you need to dodge sideways just as Bode is about to touch Cal, although it’s very easy to be just too early or too late.

Get Bode to around 40% of his health and you'll trigger a cutscene in which Cal is beaten by Bode and the screen fades to black to reveal a prompt saying, “Embrace the Darkness”. Press in your controller’s sticks and Cal will get back up to resume the fight in the third and final phase.

This phase is a significant step up from the previous two. As well as long Lightsaber combos with extra aggression, Bode now uses several more unblockable attacks, such as an aerial strike that creates a shockwave on the ground, and a charge that leads into a quick time event.

Bode will also strike the ground with his Lightsaber several times to create damaging projectiles and shockwaves. These all hit incredibly hard and must be dodged if you’re to stay in the fight – getting hit by multiple will chew through your health before you can even use a Stim.

However, keep wearing Bode down and you’ll eventually trigger the final cutscene to end the fight. Cal gives Bode one last chance to surrender but he instead tries to kill Cal and Merrin, then ends up getting shot by Cal.

After Cal, Merrin, and Kata are back at the Mantis with Greez, where they recover and set up funeral pyres for Cere, Cordova, and Bode. The credits roll and then you’ll be free to continue playing as Cal, exploring further to complete Rumors and collect all the remaining things, or you can start New Journey +. Either way, congratulations! You’ve now completed the story for Star Wars Jedi Survivor!
