Should you pick trust or reward in the Star Wars Jedi Survivor mind trick against Senator Sejan? With the corrupt Senator holding a terminal-unlocking code secret, Cal will need to coerce him to co-operate - but while the Senator would've been clearly happy to use some ugly methods if the situation were reversed, Cal can just use the Force instead. As thematically interesting as this is, it's actually not really a choice at all - the mind trick and choice to play on ideas of trust or reward in Star Wars Jedi Survivor doesn't change anything beyond a couple of dialogue lines.

Despite having the option, your choice doesn't matter here - whatever you pick for this Jedi Survivor trust or reward mind trick, Senator Sejan will unlock the terminal for you either way. 

There's no chance of failure here and it's more about the illusion of control in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Whether you convince him to trust you, or offer a reward, he gives you the terminal code and you get what you want to continue the story. It also has no long term effect as there's no morality system and he's not a big characters in the game.

This is pretty much the case with all the Star Wars Jedi mind tricks you'll encounter in the rest of the game - you'll get two choices but both are basically the right one and there's no way to fail. It's just a bit of color that doesn't actually affect anything. So just pick whichever you feel is most fitting for your version of Cal Kestis.
