What to do with the friendly creature in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

The Star Wars Jedi Survivor friendly creature is easily spotted as soon as you land on Koboh, as this huge dinosaur-like beast is looming over the landscape. Although it will be marked on your map early on, this is a little confusing as you won't be able to do anything further with it until much later in the story when you unlock an advanced form of the Force Confuse ability.

Initially this creature will serve as little more than a landmark that occasionally moves a bit, but it will graduate from just being part of the scenery when you unlock one of the Star Wars Jedi Survivor abilities, Force powers and gear options that lets you interact with it during a rumor side mission. That's not happening any time soon though, so don't let the big beast confuse you! To know how and when you can do more, here' what you need to know about the friendly creature in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

What is the Star Wars Jedi Survivor friendly creature?

The friendly creature in Jedi Survivor is one of the first things you see when you arrive on Koboh and use the BD-Visor to get a look at the landscape ahead of you. You can't miss the massive, dinosaur-like creature and when you arrive you'll trigger a cutscene to move past, but the 'friendly creature' will remain visible on your holomap, glowing, to show a section of the area you'll be able to explore when you can move the beast.

However, you won't be able to move the friendly creature in Jedi Survivor until you've unlocked the Force Confuse ability and its extension Confusion: Major Fauna, which lets you manipulate animals. It initially lets you tame rideable creatures you can use and unlocks during the Forest Array mission on Koboh, via a Force essence upgrade found just before you see a red, rhino-like creature surrounded by stormtroopers. At this point you’ll be prompted to use your new ability on the creature and unlock the power to control animals.

Once you've unlocked this ability and can tame creatures, head back to the friendly creature by fast-travelling to the Gorge Crash Site (or Derelict Dam after unlocking Force Lift/Slam) - and use the ability by pressing R1 + Circle/RB + B when the creature is highlighted. It'll bend its head down, allowing you to climb up the vines on one of its tusks. From there, you'll be able to access a section of the map with some puzzles to complete and chests to open.

Nearby, you'll also encounter the Star Wars Jedi Survivor Pit Droid, who you can help with the Force Lift ability. So it's worth waiting until you have both if you don't want to make the same trip twice.
