Best Star Wars gifts overall
Best for Xmas
It's become mandatory to break out your 'ugliest' knitwear during the Holiday season, and that makes this one of the best Star Wars gifts for Christmas. As well as bringing the cozy vibe, it's from trusted merch company Merchoid.
Best cheap gift
Want to avoid breaking the bank on Star Wars gifts whilst steering clear of cheap tat? For what it's worth, this mug gets our seal of approval (it became a favorite when we were given one). Pour in something hot and those lightsabers will ignite.
Best book
Containing 40 short stories set during the original movie, this book is an excellent companion to the saga that's in pride of place on our shelf. Featuring the best and brightest authors and focusing on unseen perspectives, it's a must-have Star Wars gift.
Best for gamers
This version of Disney Villainous had a lot to live up to, but it exceeds those expectations easily. Putting you in command of iconic baddies with their own objectives, it's a great Star Wars gift for fans that have a competitive edge.
Best for kids
These delightfully squidgy toys are 'in' right now, so if you want inspiration on what to buy younger fans, you can't go wrong here. They're as cuddly as they look, and we were particularly keen on Chewbacca after seeing it in person.
Best novelty
Say what you will about the show, but we'd argue that the best thing to come out of Ahsoka is a toy – this one. Crammed with personality and featuring full-on sass, this droid animatronic is an utter delight.
Best Star Wars gifts under $30
Want to get good Star Wars gifts without breaking the bank? The items below are a great place to start.
Best t-shirts
As you'd expect from a franchise as massive as Star Wars, there's more tie-in gear than anyone could know what to do with. If you want a cheap but good present, check out the official store – it's arguably the best and most reliable option.
Best for adults
Even if your loved one hasn't been to Galaxy's Edge, this is still a mighty fine gift. The recipes are all heavily themed, giving off the feeling that they actually came from a galaxy far, far away. We have this one on our shelf and love it.
Best for kids
Baby Yoda is easily the most popular thing to come out of Star Wars in years, so chances are that the kid in question will know and love this little alien frog thing. They can look after him themselves with this digital Tamogotchi pet!
Best book
Star Wars fans always have a favorite film, but almost everyone likes the original trilogy. This book features 40 short stories set during that original movie, and because there are more novels in the range, you have easy follow-up presents too.
Best cheap gift
This one gets our personal seal of approval, because we've been given it ourselves. Pour in coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and the lightsaber hilts at its base will suddenly ignite, filling a once-black design with color.
For gamers
We weren't sure what to expect when we first received this, and are pleased we gave it a chance; Jabba's Palace repurposes mechanics from the excellent Love Letter for an accessible but cunningly competitive multiplayer game.
Best Star Wars gifts under $50
With a slightly bigger budget, you can get some really cool gear (be it collectibles, action figures, or Star Wars board games). This is the sweet spot of Star Wars gifts; not too expensive, but still of a very high quality.
Best for adults
Star Wars Tiki mugs are some of our favorite themed cups, and grabbing a pair of them would make for an awesome cocktail night. While they all come highly recommended, this Tiki take on Chewie is probably our favorite.
Best for kids
We have a lot of time for Lightsaber Forge, as we mentioned in our guide to the customizable toy. Being able to mix and match parts for your own, unique laser sword is obviously cool, and it's sturdy so will survive most duels.
Best for gamers
We have a lot of time for this excellent, tactical board game. Outmaneuvering rivals is a satisfying challenge, and the emphasis on screwing each other over makes for memorably wicked moments.
Best books
We always find concept art – the idea of what could have been – fascinating, and plenty of other Star Wars fans do too. As such, we'd highly recommend looking out for concept art books based on the films.
Best action figures
OK, yes, there are other Star Wars action figures out there (namely, Hasbro's Vintage Collection). But we'd argue that the larger, more complex Black Series range beats them all. Its figures are hyper-detailed and incredibly posable, so we're fans.
Best Lego
If your loved one adores the original trilogy, or just has a soft spot for the ships of Star Wars, this Lego rendition of the X-Wing is a great shout. Besides being a spot-on recreation, it doesn't take up loads of space on display.
