Star Wars Battlefront's Death Star DLC has arrived, here's the new stuff

Star Wars Battlefront players are fighting to save or destroy the Death Star as we speak. The third DLC expansion for EA and DICE's cinematic online shooter rolled out today, adding the new Battle Station mode as well as a bunch of less impressively titled updates that may nonetheless have an even greater impact on the game.

You already know how the new heroes and Battle Station mode will work, with two stages of space combat sandwiched around an infantry battle within the Death Star. One cool extra: not only will Luke Skywalker in the Red-5 X-wing and Darth Vader in the TIE Advanced be added as hero vehicles, they'll come with wingmen. Just like how Princess Leia and Emperor Palpatine let additional players spawn in as powered-up soldiers with a unique look, Luke can recruit Wedge Antilles and Biggs Darklighter and Darth Vader brings along Victor Two and Victor Three. You know… good ol' Victor Two and Victor Three!

Meanwhile, the free update accompanying the Death Star DLC adds new power-ups to all aerial combat modes to get back-up from AI wingmen. It also bumps up the player level cap from 70 to 90 and tailors up four new outfits to unlock: X-Wing Pilot, Rebel Officer, Death Star Trooper, and Imperial Officer. Speaking of outfits, the update reworks the customization system to let players individually select body outfits and heads, which should open up countless new possibilities for all the dedicated Sullustan role players out there.

Some pretty fundamental changes to vehicle powers, Star Cards, and Traits accompany the update as well. Make sure you read the patch notes to get all the specifics before you go charging down that Death Star hallway, expecting your Bodyguard trait to save you.
