Star Wars 8 director Rian Johnson says filming is almost complete, shares new photo
While Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been making headlines recently due to rumoured production problems, filming on Star Wars: Episode 8 seems to be going a lot smoother. Principal photography on the highly anticipated film began back in February, and now director Rian Johnson has taken to his Tumblr page to share another new photo along with an update that teases filming is "in the home stretch".

In any case, it will be a while before we start getting any concrete info on Episode 8. Here's hoping Johnson continues to share some more fun tidbits once filming is complete.
Directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, and Benicio del Toro, Star Wars: Episode 8 opens in cinemas on December 15, 2017.
