Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness announced for 2016
In one of a handful of brand-new announcements at Square Enix's E3 2015 press conference, the world was introduced to a brand new Star Ocean with a mouthful of a name - Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness. Releasing in North America and Europe in 2016 for the PS4, this new Star Ocean will feature a six-party battle system and, according to developers, a return to JRPG elements of old.
This marks the end of a long wait for fans of the Star Ocean series, who haven't seen a release since the international edition of Star Ocean: The Last Hope in 2010. While little has been said about what will actually happen in the game, brief glimpses of the gameplay show an adherence to the real-time battle system that has helped define the series, and developers claim that the game will run at a consistent 60 fps by the time of its release. Expect to see more sometime this year - if not this fall, then when the Japanese version releases this holiday season.
