Stacked featuring Daniel Negreanu
Fake poker, real strategy
One of the nicest features of the early version was the option to speed up play. Instead of waiting around for computer players to steal each other's cash, all dealing animations and any hand you've folded can be sped through with one button tap. Plus, it seems like the pace of play is all based on the speed of your processor. So whilethe PSP version we tried a few weeks backtook a little while to make up its mind about hands, the PS2 feels significantly swifter, and the PC can slam through a full single-table tournament in about 20 minutes if you hurry the animations.
So far, Stacked looks like it can live up to its hype, but we'll naturally reserve judgement for the final version, which is due before the end of May.
