CARRY ON MOMENT OF THE WEEK
[VAMS id="8Z65CxEnbW3J4"]
Merlin wins again. Will the series manage to go for a week without an outstanding phnarr phnaar moment?
.
NOVELTY BATHROOM ITEM OF THE WEEK
Did your nan hide her spare toilet rolls under one of these too? This Once Upon A Time novelty bathroom accessory would look great with the Vampire Diaries novelty bath plug we brought you last week.
.
UNFORTUNATE TIMING OF THE WEEK
“Last month, I had a working dinner with Steve Jobs,” boasts the government tech lady investigating the Sanctuary . Not the likeliest of scenarios, given the circumstances…
.
WEIRDEST SCHOOL ACTIVITY OF THE WEEK
Seismology Club? Really ? We’d understand it if the school were in Haven or The Fades where tremors are part of everyday life, but we haven’t spotted many earthquakes in The Vampire Diaries yet.
.
BEST HALLOWEEN MAKEOVER OF THE WEEK
It’s the most exiting thing to happen to the British rail network since the Box Hill Massacre. Forget “Braaaaiiiinnnnns!!!!” Welcome to “Traaaaiiiinnnnns!!!!” The normally quite sane and sober PC game series Railworks has gone completely off the rails and released a Trains Versus Zombies DLC for Railworks 3 . According to the blurb: “With a zombie plague in full swing, you find yourself in Oxford amongst a group of survivors, one of whom is The Professor. He has the entry code to a secret bunker beneath Paddington Station, and will lead you all to safety as long as you can drive everybody there! Starting out from Oxford Station, unexpected happenings along the way mean you will be in for a bumpy ride – and a few train changes! You need to get away quickly, as the zombies are hard at work ripping up the tracks, though with a little Halloween magic, a few missing pieces of track won’t stop you getting away…” Trainspotting suddenly became a whole load cooler.

CAMPEST SUPERHEROES OF THE WEEK
The Dazzler
Colossus
Emmet Frost
Wolverine
All credit to Deviant Artist Timberoo for his series of images re-imagining X-Men as the opposite sex. Some are really quite imaginative and radical. But you can’t help thinking they also look about as butch as an episode of Glee . And if you think the Emmet Frost we’ve posted here looks like the stuff homoerotic dreams are made of, wait till you see second pic of him over at Geek Tyrant (along with a whole load more).
.
PUMPKIN OF THE WEEK
Okay, so sci-fi-themed pumpkin images aren’t exactly difficult to find on the internet at this time of year. But this one was done by one of our readers, KenzMonster, and we love it, so it gets an award. A spurious award. What could be more coveted?
.
SCARIEST PUMPKIN OF THE WEEK
On the other hand, this one with animatronic eyes is just freaking us out.
.
PUN WE JUST CAN’T GET TO WORK OF THE WEEK
And here’s a new twist on the sci-fi pumpkins shtick – Steampunk Pumpkins designed by Deviant Artist Yamiguru . But what’s been really annoying us is how difficult it is to make what looks like a pun-on-a-platter actually work in practice. Steampumpkins? Steampunkins? Why does neither sound quite right?
