Spider-Mans New Webshooters Are Mechanical
None
Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) appears to confirm it at The Golden Globes
When that first image of Andrew Garfield in the Spidey costume was released last week, many fans zoomed in on the guy’s wrists where there appeared to be mechanical webshooters. Is the new film going to return to the comics’ mythololgy where Peter Parker built his webshooters, rather than them being an organic side effect of his superpowers, as was the case in the Sam Raimi trilogy?
Seems so, if Emma Stone (who plays Gwen Stacy in the new film) is to be believed. She says the webshooters are a “device” in this short interview conducted at The Golden Globes last night.
So, that would seem to settle that argument. Unless the poor lass didn’t quite understand the question, and she just meant that the webs are created using some kind of device created by the special effects team. We reckon not, though.
