Why you can trust 12DOVE
It wouldn’t be the ultra-short review without a rushed movie tie-in game, so to fulfill the (un)healthy quota here’s Space Chimps. As we write this, the film’s getting pretty poor reviews. We’re guessing the game reviews will be more unanimous in their opinions, as this is a slice of pure genero-gaming.
The (brief) opening piloting-a-spaceship level is a pain, but gives way to standard platforming coin-collecting and baddy-stomping. Technically, there’s nothing wrong with this, but it’s been done many times before and many times better. Some of the monkey animations are cool, though.
