Those wishing to play around with LittleBigPlanet 2 this Christmas are gonna have to wait a bit longer as the game missed its holiday release projection. But now, in a bit of facetioustransparency, Sony is letting players know just how far along the game's production is.
Sonyhas posteda "checklist" of what's done for LittleBigPlanet 2 and what still needs to be done. Here's a sample of what's done:
- Box art
- ESRB rating
- In-store displays
- Creating a Sackboy costume
Above: They aren't lying
So what still needs to be done? Well, hmm... the game, we'd guess. And the online servers, and a Kevin Butler commercial. But hey, they've got LittleBigPlanet 2 wrapping paper, so at least their priorities are in the right place.
By the way, if you really want to mess with a LittleBigPlanet fan who doesn't keep up with the news, wrap up some random PS3 game in that LBP2 wrapping paper. Or even better, a Wii game.
One other thing on the checklist - a free demo. Sony is still on track to publish an LBP2 demo on December 22, so your holidays don't have to be completely disappointing. And we assume that Sony's light-hearted post indicates that the game is on target for its new release date of January 18th. Save those gift cards!
