Smash Bros adventure mode revealed
Side-scrolling action in The Subspace Emissary
Friday 3 August 2007
A new mode for Wii's Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been revealed, curiously titled The Subspace Emissary. Jebus knows what it means - but we can tell you what it is: A side-scrolling, platform-hopping single-player action burst.
From the looks of the screens, revealed on the official Smash Bros site, it looks as if you can choose any character from the multiplayer main game. Although each Ninty personality seems to have the same attacks.
You can see a teaser trailer on the official site, too - one that starts with Mario grasping Kirby's pink flipper, an otherwise innocentimage that had us doubled-over in fits of childish mirth. We're easy to please.
The Subspace Emissary game mode will show "many famous characters persevering under the weight of their personal histories, shouldering their unique burdens" according to the official blurb. It's a bit wordy for 'jump on enemies head', but we're interested to see what else is in store...
