The better SingStar games are those with an eclectic mix of music. Go too ‘diva’ or too ‘rawk’ and there’s a risk of alienating people, which isn’t good for a game that sells itself on how inclusive it is. So it’s for this reason that we recommend Summer Party as, despite the title, it’s not just composed of the dumb pop tunes that always seem to top the charts between May and August.

With Club Tropicana and Mambo No.5 there’s a holiday vibe to it - but there’s substance too, thanks to Amy Winehouse and Adele, and some tight jeans introspection with Hey There Delilah. Then those who want to worry their mothers can deliver Diana Ross’ I’m Coming Out, while others can spill beer and wrestle while belting out I Predict a Riot - Summer Party has enough variety for any sort of gathering. We’re going to dust off our best Bowie impression for Let’s Dance. See you by the pool.
