Simon Pegg and the Pythons star in first trailer for Absolutely Anything
The first trailer has landed for Absolutely Anything, Terry Jones’ sci-fi comedy in which Simon Pegg finds himself bestowed with the power to do anything at all. However, the aliens responsible for giving him said power are watching intently, and if Pegg doesn’t use his abilities for good, Earth is doomed…
As well as directing, Jones is also on vocal duties for one of said aliens alongside fellow Pythons John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle and Michael Palin, the first time the quintet have been united on screen since The Meaning Of Life.
Take a look at the new trailer, below…
If we’re being honest, this first trailer looks a little hit and miss, but Pegg is always a likeable screen presence, and the Python factor certainly lends a bit of intrigue. It’s also one of Robin Williams’ final roles, with the late star lending his voice to Pegg’s talkative dog.
Co-starring Kate Beckinsale, Rob Riggle and Eddie Izzard, Absolutely Anything will open in the UK on 14 August 2015, with a US date to be confirmed.
