Silent Hill 5: Gameplay videos
Three clips crawl out of the creepy town
Sept 18, 2007
Returning to Silent Hill is going to be one hell of a trip, and to prove it Konami has released three short gameplay clips to get us all cowering behind the sofa. Due to be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2008, Silent Hill V sees you taking control of Alex Shepherd as he returns home from war to hunt for his missing younger brother.
Two of the clips, Continuous and Mood, show off the stunning lighting effects and incredibility detailed environments we’ve come to expect from the Silent Hill series and feature Alex encountering a small, no doubt disturbed, child.
But it’s the Transition clip that’s really got us excited, as it demonstrates that, for the first time in the Silent Hill series, the player will experience the game world changing around them in real time. Much like the effects we saw in last year's movie adaptation, the walls rot away, blood and rust start to engulf the floor, and a dark and dingy bathroom turns into a living hell in a matter of seconds.
If you think you can stomach it, check out all three gameplay clips below.

Hi I'm James or JJ if you like, I'll answer to both. I'm the Executive producer for GR video which means I've had at least a part in all the hot moving pictures you'll find on the site (even if that part was just saying, yes that's a good video). I also produce the Future Games Show and Golden Joystick Awards. Away from the office you'll either find me playing Fortnite, or walking my dog. I'm better at one than the other, I'll let you decide which.
