How's your Tuesday going? I'll be honest, mine wasn't going great. That was, until I heard the new theme song for Shadow Warrior 2. Now I'm punching giant slabs of dead cow in a meat locker, running up mountain slopes, and generally feeling like my life is an '80s action movie montage. I dare you to listen and tell me you don't feel the same:
So what's the deal? Why is a 2016 first-person shooter using a song that sounds like it's straight out of the '80s? Well, as we learned in the first Shadow Warrior, our hero Lo Wang is a big fan of Stan Bush's "The Touch," which you might remember from the Transformers cartoon movie:
Publisher Devolver Digital worked with Bush to create this new anthem, giving Wang his own cheesy '80s rock anthem to jam out to. And it. Is. Glorious. Shadow Warrior 2 will be out on PC this October, with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming early 2017.
