Were you in Milton Keynes last weekend? If so, then chances are you were there for Collectormania ! As ever, SFX was there too, and as ever, we had all sorts of goodies to give away and events going on for anyone who came by our stand. You couldn't miss us, we were the ones with the replica model of Red Dwarf on our stand, to the right of where Craig Fairbrass was signing autographs. If you were there, you'll remember some of this, and if not, then here's what you missed!

The main event of our weekend was the live Truffle Shuffle competition. Inspired by The Goonies, which came to Blu-ray earlier this month, and judged by Jeff " Chunk " Cohen himself, on both the Saturday and Sunday of the event we had a line of attendees enthusiastically hiking their shirts up and wiggling their bellies for all they were worth! Winners received copies of SFX, t-shirts and a selection of DVDs. Well done to all the winners and participants, and thanks to Warner and Jeff Cohen for making the competition possible!

Another event that we ran over the entire weekend was the big SFX giveaway. If you collected a free SFX pin badge from our stand, then there was a chance that during the weekend you could be spotted and randomly awarded a prize from the prize table, which included DVDs, books, toys, collectable figures, and an oh-so-desirable limited edition model of the Scarab from Halo 3. And you got a free "SFX ADDICT" badge into the bargain - not bad, eh?

Following the popularity of our "Your face on SFX" offer at the London Film and Comic Con , on the Sunday of the event we were joined by a photographer, who took photos of visitors and printed out glossy SFX covers with our impromptu cover stars. Once again, this proved enormously popular - and it went smoothly enough this time that we didn't have to put anyone's photos up on a Flickr site!

There was also the Klingon Banquet on Saturday night, numerous guest signings, fans cosplaying, and bargains to be had on all the dealers tables. A big thanks to everybody who helped out, especially event organisers Showmasters, and Canon who provided our equipment.

Sadly this was the last Collectormania event to be held in thecentre:mk, but if you missed out, then don't worry - the event is relocating to the Milton Keynes Stadium.
