Seth Rogen says Green Hornets still on

Recent rumours have suggested that Seth Rogen’s take on The Green Hornet might be in serious trouble – but now Rogen wants to set the record straight.

The writer/produer/actor contacted Hitflix to contradict the idea that the film might be close to shutting down altogether.

The Green Hornet has many people working for it, including production designers, costume designers and many conceptual artists, office staff, etc.," he said during our e-mail exchange back and forth,” he tells the site.

"The studio heads have every intention of making it, and assuming we're able to hire a new director in the upcoming weeks, which seems like a distinct possibility, it should still hit the release date."

And there’s a different story floating around the web about the movie – a much more positive one, depending on your view of the person involved.

Seems that Adam Sandler- with whom Rogen is working on Funny People – might be appearing in a small yet key role – a “surprise superhero”. Care to guess who it might be?

Oh, and for those thinking The Lone Ranger… He’s a little busy being contracted to Disney.

Come on comment-folk: who do you think Sandler might be playing?
