Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg to rewrite Neighborhood Watch
Another suburban action comedy for Pineapple Express duo
20th Century Fox’s Neighborhood Watch is getting a rewrite from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
The film follows a group of men who form a neighborhood watch as a front for some male bonding without the wives and kids.
Then, wouldn't you know it, they uncover a plot to destroy the world.
Just to recap - in Pineapple Express , hapless men uncover an evil plan and feel morally obliged to do something to prevent it - so Neighborhood Watch is familiar territory for the new scribes, who also wrote that movie, and Superbad .
Rogen and Goldberg have been called in to work on the script that was initially written by Jared Stern ( Bolt ).
However, it's not yet clear whether they will be performing a full rewrite, or whether they're just going to provide additional comedic material.
Neighborhood Watch is currently without a director as Peter Segal ( Get Smart ) recently dropped the project.
