Its A Wonderful Life sequel planned for 2015
Christmas is cancelled…
In what must be a contender for the least-wanted follow-up of all time, plans are afoot for a 2015 sequel to Frank Capra’s Christmas classic, It’s A Wonderful Life .
The project is the brainchild of producers Allen J. Schwalb of Star Partners and Bob Farnsworth of Hummingbird, who are currently seeking a director to join proceedings.
Variety reports that Farnsworth has already written a script with Martha Bolton, with the story set to follow George Bailey’s grandson, who encounters an angel all of his own.
Karolyn Grimes, who played Jimmy Stewart’s daughter in the original, has reportedly agreed to play said angel, while fellow old faces Jimmy Hawkins and Carol Coombs (Tommy and Janie Bailey) have also been approached.
Scheduled for a December 2015 release (watch out Episode VII ), The film doesn’t have an official title as yet, but we’ll have a tenner on Wonderful Life 2: Electric Boogaloo …
