See your screenplay turned into a film
See your screenplay turned into a film and screened at the BFI in London.
Your screenplay could be filmed and screened at the BFI in London. Total Film magazine has partnered with the National Film and Television School (NFTS) to support this scheme to train the next generation of filmmaking talent. Yep, if you're aged 16-19 and fancy writing for the big or small screen you can apply for this BFI Film Academy Craft Residential course delivered by the National Film and Television School!
If your application is successful, you'll need to attend a weekend course at the NFTS on 12-13 December 2015 where you'll be given expert tuition to develop your script for screen by tutors at the NFTS. Selected screenplays will then by filmed with other participants during a two-week Craft Residential course at Easter 2016 and the films will be screened at the BFI in London to an audience of industry professionals, family and friends. Experts from Total Film have also spoken at the Easter course to help young filmmakers understand the role of press, PR and marketing in the movie industry.
Group Editor-in-Chief Dave Bradley said, "Total Film magazine is very proud to be the media partner of the NFTS BFI Film Academy again this year. As one of the world's top film magazine brands, we recognise the importance of nurturing and celebrating up and coming talent and we're continually impressed with the work done by the NFTS to bring new filmmakers to the fore. We're very happy to support this scheme and look forward to seeing what talent the next Film Academy uncovers."
The NFTS is the number one international film school and films by its alumni have been nominated for Oscars and have won over 20 BAFTAs!
