Ladies and Gentlemen… It’s The SFX Friday bargains round-up. It’s time to find the bargains. It’s time to quote the price. It’s time to meet the bargains on the bargains round-up tonight. It’s time get you wallets. It’s time to grab that purse. It’s time to raise the curtain on the bargains round-up tonight.
Hmmm. That didn’t really scan… On with the bargains…
First up we have an offer from Play, which has a two Blu-rays for £14 deal running. We spotted Twelve Monkeys, Tremors and 9 amongst others. Why not check it out for yourself…
Hard to believe that the fantastic but short-lived Joss Whedon show Firefly is almost ten years old… For those that still don’t own a copy, Amazon have it on DVD for £11.97 .
A blast from the past next with Gerry Anderson’s nightmare-inducing ‘80s puppet show Terrahawks . You can get the complete series, that’s all 39 episodes, on DVD for the bargaintastic price of £12.97 , if you don’t mind the sleepless nights.
How about some remake shenanigans with the 2009 rehash (or possibly just hash) of the The Prisoner ? You can pick it up on Blu-ray for just £8.97 . If you’d prefer your shenanigans to be of the original ’60s psychedelic variety then that can be yours on DVD for £21.97 .
Staying with freaky TV, David Lynch’s bat’s-arse crazy TV show Twin Peaks is available on a Definitive Gold Box Edition DVD boxed set for £19.99 from Play. Watch while drinking a damned fine cup of coffee.

Avengers Assemble might not be out to buy until September but Amazon is already advertising a big Avengers boxed set including the Avengers Assemble film and all the previous set-up films in one bumper set. You can pre-order the box on DVD for £29.97 or alternatively the Blu-ray can be yours for £38.97 .
The third film in The Mummy series, Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor ,was spotted in Amazon’s “Deals Of The Week” for the cheap-as-chips price of £2.97 on DVD . You can also grab the film on Blu-ray for £5.87 if you fancy.
MTV’s cult animated series Æon Flux is available on DVD for £9.97 , or if you’d prefer the Charlize Theron starring live action effort, it’s on DVD for just £3.67 . Strangely enough if you buy the film along with Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in this two-DVD set it’s actually cheaper at only £2.99 . Go figure.
John C Reilly stars in the live-action adaptation of Darren Shan's vampire saga Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant , which can be yours on Blu-ray for £6.97 . The film is also on DVD for £4.20 .
We have a Doctor Who adventure next: “The Dæmons”, from the Pertwee era, is on DVD for just £9.99 .
In this week’s Play “Deals Of The Week” we found four seasons of the classic sci-fi anthology show The Twilight Zone . They had season one for £19.19 , season two for £19.99 , season three for £17.99 and season four for £9.09 . All on Blu-ray.
A quick wander round Asda this week turned up a selection of bargs. We spotted The Wolfman, The Corpse Bride, Contact, Mars Attacks and Interview With The Vampire all on Blu-ray and all for £5 each. On the DVD front Asda still has Iron Sky, Darkest Hour and Chronicle all for £10 each. We also saw Ghost Rider 2 for £11 and for anyone that wants to catch up on Nolan’s past Batman films before the new one comes out there’s a DVD box with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight for just £9.
Morrison’s had an array of DVDs for £7 each, including Thor, Conan the Barbarian, Captain America, X-Men - First Class, Cowboys versus Aliens and Super 8 .
From the forum this week Midnighter told us Tesco has a selection of DVDs on offer for £5 each or on a buy one get one free. There's a full list of available titles here , go check it out. Midnighter also spotted Pegg and Frost’s alien road trip movie Paul down to £3 on DVD in Asda.
To start off this week’s random suggestions we have a True Blood T-shirt from Firebox. This Bottle Logo tee can be yours for £8.49 in large or the slightly more expensive £9.34 for medium.
Next we have something for the Harry Potter fans, or rather the Hermione fans. This Hermione Granger artefact box , packed with prop replicas and keepsakes from the film, is selling for £23.99 .

Something for the Doctor Who chefs out there. This Dalek apron is available from Play for £14.99 .
We have a superhero with a difference next with Souper . He’s a hero and he’s a spoon. Make soup night a little more bizarre with this spoon headed action figure . He’s yours for £5.84 .
